- Material - HRS bar stock
- 15 stations on 5" spacing (first station at each end is 1" in)
- Tip groove depth tapers from .020 to .128 when closed (60 degree groove)
- Butt groove depth tapers from .055 to .163 when closed (60 degree groove)
- Planing surfaces are Blanchard ground to 32 surface finish
- Bars are ground as assembled sets for optimal surface to surface alignment
- Each bar is 1.13" high by .93" wide yielding a wide stable planing platform 1.86" wide minimum
when the forms are completely closed - Forms have PEAK's "quick adjust" taper setting design. What is unique about this system is
that the "pull screw" and the "push" or separating force have been put on a common center
axis. The push action is provided by a heavy duty die spring mounted concentrically about the
pull screw. The die spring provides force to spread the forms so turning just the pull screw will
accomplish adjustment in as well as out, speeding the taper set process. The forms also have
traditional push screws in the event they may be needed at certain points in the taper where the
change in strip dimension is particularly abrupt. Comfort grip T-handle wrenches to fit both the
pull and push screws are provided with each set of forms - Custom machine engraving is available. Custom lengths, groove depths, quad forms, penta
forms, and other custom features can be quoted. Design assistance is available as well.

most cases we ship UPS. For international orders, or orders to locations with no UPS service
alternate carriers may be used. Please allow up to 8 weeks if not stock at time of order. You may
pick up your forms at our shop in Loveland, CO (but please remember, they're 6ft long and heavy).

PEAK's Depth Gauge Assembly includes a precision Dial Indicator, Brass Indicator Base, 60
Degree Contact Point, Stainless Steel Holder/Calibration Block, and 1/8” Hex Key (used for
assembly). Indicator reads 1-0 so you get a true reading (not a reverse reading you need to subtract
from the indicator's full range to calculate depth) of your groove depth. With the assembly properly
zero'd using the integral standard in our Holder/Calibration Block the indicator provides an actual
groove depth reading, no math! Indicator has a 1" range.

Point, Stainless Steel Holder/Calibration Block, and 1/8” Hex Key required (used for assembly). The
set is designed for indicators with a 3/8” stem and a spindle tapped for a 4-40UNC threaded contact
point. When used in conjunction, the PEAK 60 degree contact point and PEAK Brass Indicator Base
will allow within .04 inches of the full stroke of your indicator to be used. Indicators with 1.00 inch of
travel will be able to measure from 0 to .96 inches, indicators with .50 inches of travel will be able to
measure from 0 to .46 inches. The stainless steel Holder/Calibration Block is heavy for stability and
safe storage, will store an indicator with 1.00 inch of travel without allowing the contact point to touch
your work surface (this protects the spring in the indicator) and has an integral calibration groove for
zeroing your finished assembly.
