About PEAK Mounting Clamps
PRTS Mounting Clamps are specifically designed for your roof rack, providing a perfect fit and security you can depend on. The PRTS-MTTH is designed for use with rectangular and oval shaped rails. It will accommodate a rooftop crossbar that is 1.25” tall by 1.50” deep.
When installing your PRTS unit and mounting clamps, you should have a gap between the bottom mounting rail and the top of the mounting clamp. This is normal and will not affect the security and hold of your PRTS unit to your vehicle.
If you have another type of mounting rail, contact us with your rail’s dimensions, and we will create a mount specifically for you.
Measuring your Vehicle Crossbar
The two measurements we use to determine which Mounting Clamp is right for your are depth and height.
Below are two illustrations to demonstrate how to measure your crossbar. The mounting clamp must have roughly the same "depth" dimension (no larger), but the height dimension can be slightly larger than our listed dimension. This is because a small gap can be present in between the mounting clamp and PRTS without compromising any integrity or grip to your vehicle.
